Music has always been a part of life. Born, Antonio Hernandez in San Juan, Puerto Rico, childhood in this Latin culture was surrounded by song and dance. In 1985, his family decided to move to the U.S. making Orlando, FL their home. At the age of 12, Anthony Hernandez began mixing on an old Realistic mixer with a tape deck and a home CD player. It was in high school, a few years later, that he was introduced to electronic dance music and saw what could be done with a real mixer and the proper music player-a turntable.
During the mid-90's, Orlando was making an international mark on the club scene- pumping out fresh new beats and housing some of the best Dj's in the world at clubs like Firestone and The Edge. The intense energy of the crowd, the pulsating music, and the incredible power the Dj has over the two made Anthony want to be a part of the movement. He decided to take Djing seriously in 1995 because he wanted to make people dance. Anthony has had the chance to play at many nightclubs and music festivals in Florida before moving to Colorado where he held a residency at 8150, Vail's premier nightclub, and has been the resident Dj for Orlando's hottest summer parties by the pool–Pearl. He has also had the opportunity to play at the world renowned clubs, such as Guvernment in Toronto.
He hasn't stopped to look back since, striving forward and staying true to his love for music. Today, he is back in Orlando. His up-front style has grown over the years, evolving into a deeper, integrated sound that captures his many musical influences over the years. Whether it's work or play, Anthony is known to enjoy all music genres the same-as he would say, " A good song is a good song!" You can truly hear this in his sound, as it is difficult to classify him into any one particular niche of electronic dance music. Anthony Hernandez is sure to get bodies moving on the dance floor no matter what the night calls for.
Anthony is also currently signed with M-Toxin Recordings, where he has been focusing on producing tracks as well as bringing his mixes to a world wide audience through M-Toxin’s “HouseFlyz” podcasts (www.constant.podomatic.com). His first track was a top seller on Beatport, and he is currently working on several other projects to be released soon. So keep a look out for this dj/producer and keep dancing to support the music that we all love!
