Sean Hooser (CB4) House / Techno / Minimal

Sean Hooser (CB4) got his first exposure to an underground music scene at 14 playing drums in punk/hardcore bands on the easy coast. 95-00 Southern NH was becoming a hot-spot for house and breaks and crazy warehouse parties. Being a drummer the natural progression for a percussionist seemed to be to start playing records.

With plenty of parties and clubs to feed off of he started absorbing all the various styles of electronic music and really started to get into a groove with the mutant disco sounds being pushed by the likes of Dj Midas, MO7S, Leap, Onnasis and many others. Wanting to become more proactive in the music community, CB4 and a friend started a music magazine that focused on electronic music related material around the New England area. "Smitten" was born. This magazine ran for roughly a year and ceased when his partner moved to Florida. This particular endeavor gave him a real insight into the inner workings of the electronic music industry and really helped focus his efforts and broaden the horizons.

In early "02" he moved to Orlando, Fl. This is where he started to really make headway as an artist being able to get comfortable in larger venues without being subjected to a jury of his peers. Opening on a regular basis for DJs from from Orlando based labels with strong ties worldwide allowed him to make a name for himself quickly within Central Florida and beyond as well his first radio appearances on 96.9 Foundation Radio with seminal Orlando producers The Invisible Men and Juan Sanchez. With musical leanings ranging from dark progressive to deep tech, his first few years in Florida combined with the knowledge and the lessons of his mentors back home in Manchester helped shape and inspire his sound into what it is today...
