Homero Espinosa began spinning records as DJ Huey in the Bay Area in the early 90’s,
quickly finding a niche in the underground rave scene. He easily rose to prominence as one of the few rave DJ’s playing true underground house music in a scene overwhelmed by trance and European pop-dance
music.

Along the way, Homero began collaborating and making music with fellow Bay Area DJ and producer Allen Craig. Together, they founded Yerba Buena Discos in 2001. After years of successful music-making, Homero teamed up with label-mate Cubase Dan to form YBD Studios, a high-tech production facility in San Francisco’s legendary Moulton Studios. There, he has
honed his engineering and production skills and further developed his own distinct sound, a deeper, more late-night groove than his labelmates. His DJ schedule remains hectic, taking him from the Bay Area to places as far afield as New York, Paris, and Spain. Homero’s production skills have also led to him gracing the decks as an engineer for many Bay Area house music heroes.
