DJ Mickey Bono is a House Music DJ and producer based out of Orlando, FL. He has been DJing for fourteen years and producing music for 12 years. Mickey is the producer/remixer of the Beat Thrillerz and co-producer of K5. He is the resident DJ for “Saturday Night Live” at Bliss Ultra Lounge and “I Love House Music” a Roxy. Past DJ residencies include Vintage, Club 23, House Of Blues, Roxy, Rix Lounge, Club LaVela, Embassy, Tabu, Glo Lounge, Voyage, and Rhythm & Flow. Special guest DJ appearances include nights at Blue Martini, Lux, Dragonroom, and Antigua. Mickey also DJs the events for Orlando's upscale business networking company Red Carpet Monday. His mixshow airs worldwide Fridays at 9 PM on the internet's “Pure Dance Music” channel RadioDanz.com. DJ Mickey Bono’s “Seduction” mixshow is the stations #1 rated weekend mixshow. Mickey's “Beat Thrillerz Remixes” are available for download on the mp3 website, www.RatedH.net. Mickey has recently just been invited to DJ in Ibiza this summer for the official parties of the “Ibiza Return” events.
Mickey Bono has been producing music since 1997. He earned a degree in Music Production and Engineering from ARTI (Audio Recording Technology Institute). He began his production career with the dance act K5. K5 was signed to Robbins Entertainment/BMG in the US, ISBA Records in Canada and Universal Records in Germany & Europe. K5 had a Billboard Magazine Hot 100 hit with the song “Passion”. K5 played many venues and large raves throughout the U.S. and Canada. The music video for “Passion” was highly played on music video channels MTV and VIVA throughout Europe. Mickey’s last song with K5, which he wrote and produced, “Lovin’ Feelin’,” was one of the top 30 songs of year in 2001 on 95.3 Party. Mickey left K5 in 2001 to start working on his own production company New Millennium Entertainment. Since then he has been producing and remixing for several artists. He is currently producing a new dance act he created called Beat Thrillerz. The first Beat Thrillerz single, “Rain” featuring vocalist Melodie Joy was featured on the Promo Only Dance Radio series in March of 2006. The song was also licensed to be played in all Abercrombie & Fitch stores and was featured on their website in April and May of 2006 and March 2007. Mickey also produced and co-wrote Rockell’s 2006 single “L.O.V.E.”, which was licensed to Louie Devito's “NYC Underground Party Vol.7.” In 2008 DJ Mickey Bono produced and signed singer Joseph to Value Link/Koch Records.
Beat Thrillerz is also released their own version “Your Love Still Haunts Me” featuring Canadian singer Elissa. The song is licensed to the Canada’s largest dance music label SPG Music which is distributed Universal Records.. On September 28th 2009, the track is became the #1video on Canada’s BPM:tv Hot 20 Dance Music videos, ahead of such artist as David Guetta, Cascada, and Lady Gaga. New releases in 2010 so far include remixes of Marcus Knight’s new single “Throw Me Down” and Beat Thrillerz f/ Jose’ Sierra “Unattainable Crush”. Both coming out on Australia’s Generation Entertainment record label.
